The Diocese of Springfield announces that Hannah Dallman is joining the Diocesan staff as the new Communications Coordinator. Bishop Martins says, “I am delighted to welcome Hannah Dallman to the diocesan staff. Her training, experience, and skills will enrich the ministry of communication among our 33 Eucharistic Communities.”
Hannah brings a varied interdisciplinary background to this ministry. A storyteller and filmmaker by training, she has had numerous short films screened at regional as well as international film festivals, from Kankakee to Mumbai. In addition to her narrative work, Hannah’s work as an independent producer and director includes both internal corporate work as well as video identity pieces for businesses. She has teaching experience in film and the arts both at the undergraduate level all the way through to early-childhood. She has served in non-profit management at arts presenters and theaters in Minneapolis and New York. Ms. Dallman holds an MFA in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago, and a BA from Macalester College in St Paul, MN.
Hannah is excited to take on the role of Communications Coordinator, “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to use my training for the greater good of the Church.”
Hannah lives in Pekin, with her husband, Fr Matthew C. Dallman Obl.S.B., and their five children. The family’s newest project is raising a flock of backyard chickens, all of which have been named for Saints.
