Wednesday (James Lloyd Breck)

- Today’s task list: 15 items, including the 8 leftover from yesterday.
- Morning Prayer in the cathedral.
- Returned a phone call from a Nashotah House trustee, which generated an email to two staff members.
- Beefed up, filled out, and printed my working notes for tonight’s Lenten series presentation in Decatur.
- Took care of some routine personal organization work related to the change from one calendar month to the next.
- Made a scheduled phone call to an old friend, a retired bishop, seeking some perspective and counsel regarding my Nashotah House board chairman duties.
- Made a scheduled phone call to a priest of the diocese regarding some deployment-related issues.
- Began assembling some Holy Week musical resources in the wake of yesterday’s planning meeting.
- Lunch from McD’s … a company which is beginning to seriously alienate me by systematically eliminating my favorite sauces for McNuggets, one by one … eaten at home.
- Routine semi-annual dental hygiene appointment. All seems to be well.
- Resumed working on the Holy Week music task I had started earlier. Lots of searching, both physically and electronically, printing, and copying.
- Made some progress with seeing that the Chrism Mass happens in good order on the scheduled day.
- Evening Prayer in the office.
- Headed east to St John’s, Decatur for the fourth in a series of five Lenten series presentations, this one on spiritual practices and Rule of Life. Home around 8:45.
- Accomplished six of the fifteen task items with which I began my day.
