Thursday (St Perpetua & Her Companions)
by Bishop Daniel
on March 7, 2019
- Rose in my office encampment a little past 0600. Cruised social media for a bit. Did my physical therapy exercises. Got cleaned up and dressed.
- Organized my tasks for the day.
- Morning Prayer in the cathedral.
- Breakfast from Hardee’s.
- Substantive consultation with the Archdeacon on several issues.
- Took the text of my next catechetical video and turned it into a working script–large font, wide margins, etc. Identified natural break points. Practiced delivering it several times.
- Accessed my Lambeth Conference registration online and figured out what I need to do to make the required deposit.
- Lunch from Taco Gringo, eaten back at the office.
- Drove up to Illinois National Bank and arranged for a wire transfer to cover my Lambeth Conference deposit.
- Responded to a handful of accumulated emails.
- Spent the better part of two hours with Paige recording a teaching video on discerning the call of God. It’s in her hands for editing and “post-production” now.
- Attended to a chore relating to my service as a board member for the Society of King Charles the Martyr.
- Drafted my next-due post for the Covenant blog.
- Evening Prayer in the cathedral.
- Dinner from Pie’s-the-Limit, eaten in the office.
- Wrote a substantive memo to the wardens of two Eucharistic Communities that are in conversation about forming a canonical geographic parish.
