St. Mark’s, West Frankfort celebrated the 95th anniversary of our admission to the diocese. While the actual date of admission was May 16th, we gathered for food and fellowship in Trotter Hall on Saturday, May 19th. Our plans were nearly put on hold due to a water main break at Rend Lake earlier that week that resulted in 9 counties in Southern Illinois having no or limited water available. But the water came back (with boil orders) just in time. We feasted on locally caught fish, fried
on site by several of our members, plus
numerous sides and desserts. Great food — plenty of it! And fabulous fellowship!
We followed with a baptism the next morning on the Feast of Pentecost — truly a weekend to celebrate!
