Beyond a smattering of administration, a handful of emails, and finish work on my Ash Wednesday homily (Trinity, Lincoln), my day was mostly consumed by seeing Brenda through an outpatient quasi-surgical procedure. Still trying to chase down what’s causing a disturbing propensity to lose consciousness. In the late afternoon and evening, we joined with our son and daughter in fixing and enjoying a Louisiana-style Mardi Gras dinner: jambalaya, fried catfish, crawfish étouffée, and praline sauce over vanilla ice cream. Now bring on Lent.
