Annual “Bish-B-Q” at Church Camp 2019

Another great year at the Episcopal Church Camp of Illinois is in the books! Campers enjoyed swimming in the pool and at the lake, along with kayaking, paddle boats, and fishing. Plenty of marshmallows were eaten (including some stolen by feisty wildlife!), camp games played, and tie-dye t-shirts made. ECC hosted campers from within the [...]

St. Luke’s Camp Reunion

St. Luke’s hosted a camp reunion on October 21. Around 16 campers or former campers/counselors got together to share God’s love through singing, eating together, playing games, and prayer. It was a great reminder that even though we are apart throughout the year, we still support each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Persecution Watch

What is this unusual yellow symbol? It is the letter "n" in Arabic. Persecutors of Christians in Iraq and elsewhere use it to mark the homes of "Nazarenes," their pejorative term for Christians. When their homes are marked, it makes it easier to round up Christians for the latest round of hostilities: be it beheadings, [...]
