DIOCESE OF SPRINGFIELD TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUTHQUAKE 2007

Middle school and high school youth, youth workers, and clergy of the Diocese of Springfield are encouraged to participate in “Road Trip for the Kingdom II.”  Here’s the plan:

THURSDAY, JANUARY 11 –

         9:00 P.M.: Gather at bus pick-up sites (sites to be

         determined based on   registrations).

FRIDAY, JANUARY 12 -     

         Early morning: Leave for Ridgecrest, NC

         Late afternoon: Arrive in Ridgecrest, NC -

         Get settled, explore Conference Center

         7:00 P.M.: Conference begins

SUNDAY, JANUARY 14 –

                                                                        12:00 (Noon): Leave Ridgecrest, NC 

                                                                        10:00 P.M.: Arrive at pickup sites

The conference fee includes lodging for Friday and Saturday nights, meals from Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast, T-shirt, and transportation.  Note: Meals on the traveling days are not covered so you will want to bring additional money for food on Friday and Sunday.

Early Payment Discount!

Pay in full by November 13 and the cost is $175 each. Please do not let lack of funds keep you from coming. Contact your local congregation for financial assistance if needed.  Limited diocesan funds will be available to assist those for whom local assistance is not available.

Special Discount! 

2006 attendees who bring a friend who did not attend last year can go for $160 each if full payment is received by November 13 or $175 each if full payment is received between November 14 and December 11.

Conference Cost without Discounts

If you cannot meet the early payment deadline and you do not qualify for the special discount, the conference fee is $200 each if payment is received between November 14 and December 11.

Checks should be made payable to: “The Diocese of Springfield” with “YouthQuake” listed in the memo field.

Remember:  

Fill out one of the diocesan registration forms and a medical release/permission form for each participant.  Forms are available from your church or the Diocesan Web site. DO NOT use the Acts 29 Form available in the YouthQuake packets or online if you are traveling with the Diocese.

The final deadline for registration and payment is December 11, 2006. A registration form, permission slip, and full payment must be received at the Diocesan Center, 821 South Second Street, Springfield, IL 62704 by this date to participate.
