The
Springfield Current
is the newspaper for the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield. It includes
news and features about the life and ministries of the diocese, as well as
news of the national Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican
Communion. Each issue includes Parish News, Youth News, the Bishop’s
Message, and National and World News. Articles on Young Adult and Higher
Education Ministry,
Ministry among Older Adults, Health and Wellness, and special features are
also included regularly. A wide range of views is represented.
The
Springfield Current
is an important part of communication in the diocese. It includes
information about parish and diocesan events. It is also an instrument for
evangelism and outreach in the diocese. Extra copies are sent to each
church in the diocese for distribution to visitors and newcomers. The
circulation, which has been steadily increasing during the past year, is
at present 3,200 households. The newspaper is published every month except
July and August and is sent to all members of the Diocese of Springfield
and to friends of the diocese. We are grateful for many readers who
contribute to the ministry of our diocesan newspaper.
The
Springfield Current
strives to be a good steward of your gifts.
