March 12th, 2005, at the Church of the Redeemer, Cairo,
Illinois.
We are

Schedule for the day includes:
10:00
A.M. – 1:00 P.M.: Tour some of Cairo’s historic sites:
Magnolia Manor & Riverlore Mansion:
Built in the 1860s
The
Custom House: Cairo’s Federal
Building, built in the 1870s, now houses a museum
The
Safford Library:
Built in 1885
Simply
show your invitation to tour these sites, free of charge

P.M.: Ordination Service at the Church of the Redeemer
(The
Church and Parish Hall will be open from 10:00 A.M. onward for those
arriving early)
4:30
P.M. (approx.): Reception at the Elks Club
Located
on 8th Street, just east of Washington Avenue
Light
buffet dinner will be served
Directions to Cairo, the Historic Sites, and the Church:
From I-57, exit 1: Exit onto US 51
south, which leads into Cairo
(becoming Sycamore Avenue once in the
city)
To
the Mansions: Turn right at
28th Street, go about three blocks to
Washington Avenue, and the mansions are on the left
To
the Custom House and the Safford Library:
From the mansions, continue south on
Washington Avenue (Sycamore Avenue ends by running into Washington Avenue,
joining it by a shallow left hand turn) to the Library (at Washington & 17th
Street), on the right,
and to
the Custom House (at Washington & 15th Street), on the left
To
the Church: Continue further
south on Washington to 6th Street,
the
church is on the left.
