Bishop Beckwith celebrates 40th
Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood
The Archdeacon of Springfield, the Venerable Shawn W. Denney announces to
the Clergy and People of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield that the
Right Reverend Peter H. Beckwith, Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield
will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of his Ordination to
the Priesthood on the Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord, Thursday, January
6, 2005.
Our Diocesan Family will be marking this milestone in the ministry of our
Chief Pastor with a celebration on Saturday, January 8, 2005, at
the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Springfield Illinois. We will
begin the day with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 10:30 a.m.
The service will be followed by a catered luncheon to be held in the
Cathedral’s Great Hall. The cost of the luncheon will be $12.00 per
person.

must be returned to the Diocesan Office no later than December 30, 2004.
